1. Magazine Beach – one of the most stunning places to explore in Grenada
Located in St. George’s, Magazine Beach offers hilly terrain, lots of beautiful trees, and sparkling blue waters where you can swim and enjoy a variety of water sports.
You can also lie on the beach and work on your suntan if that’s what you want to do. One of the best things about this beach is that you can feel like it’s all yours, thanks to the fact that it is big enough for everyone.
Often considered one of the most beautiful places to visit in Grenada, Magazine Beach is also called Rex Beach and Aquarium Beach, so if you hear any of those names being bandied about, you’ll know that this is a beach you want to visit.
2. St. George’s – the capital and one of the best places to visit in Grenada
St. George’s is the capital of Grenada and is a very popular tourist attraction. In fact, whatever you’re looking for when you’re on vacation, you’ll likely find it in St. George’s.
Located on a horseshoe-shaped harbor, the town exports tons of spices every year, including mace spice, cocoa bean, and nutmeg.
It is also home to a fresh produce marketplace, a medical school, a fort complex, lots of beaches, shopping areas, and restaurants. It is a quaint town that features beautiful mountain waterfalls and hiking trails, as well as numerous other fun things to do.
3. Morne Rouge Beach – a dreamy beauty spot perfect for relaxation
Found at the very tip of the island, Morne Rouge is a small town that offers a beautiful beach that is usually quiet and has a secluded feel to it.
Also called BBC Beach, it offers white sands and beautiful blue-green water to enjoy as you swim or simply lie on the beach and work on your tan.

4. Royal Mount Carmel Falls – a popular tourist attraction to visit in Grenada
This is the island’s highest waterfall and consists of two falls that plunge 70 feet into the water. Featuring lots of lush greenery and beautiful clear water, the falls are a popular spot to dive, swim, and just stand there to get the water doused over you on those hot summer days.
There is a gorgeous view of the beach nearby and numerous tourist spots, including restaurants and historic churches.
If you want to spend the afternoon relaxing and cooling off, visiting Royal Mount Carmel Falls is the perfect choice because it is easy to get to, ridiculously relaxing, and most of all, a lot of fun.

6. Carenage – St. George’s lively waterfront promenade
Carenage is the harbor area of St. George’s, and it is there that you can see ships and fishing boats, and enjoy a typically Caribbean atmosphere.
You can shop, eat, enjoy the beaches and the bay, or just people-watch as you walk through this lovely area and take advantage of everything it has to offer.
Both tourists and locals alike love this area of St. George’s, so if you want to get a true Caribbean “feel” and get the most out of your time there, you owe it to yourself to visit the Carenage harbor.
7. Grand Etang National Park & Forest Reserve – a popular place to explore in Grenada
Centered around a gorgeous lake, the Grand Etang park and forest reserve offers something for everyone.
There are winding roads that go up to 1900 feet, and at the visitor center you can get your questions answered and get recommendations that depend on what you’d like to do first.
In fact, four of Grenada’s tallest peaks are located in this park, but ironically, the tallest peak is the only one that doesn’t have a name!
This natural wonderland has some amazing sites in it, and you can even stop and get a refreshment whenever you like.
8. Concord Falls – a picturesque 100ft cascade
Along the Concord River in Grenada are several scenic waterfalls, with the lowest one being 100 feet high. They can be seen as far away as the end of Concord Mountain Road, which is located roughly 1.5 miles inland from Concord Village.
You can enjoy a 45-minute hiking trail and view the waterfalls from far away, where you can really enjoy their uniqueness.
Since the falls are on private property, the owner charges a small fee to visit this area, but it is well worth the money if you love beautiful scenery.
9. Pink Gin Beach – a beautiful beach to discover in Grenada
Located in St. George’s, Pink Gin Beach is south of Grand Anse and Morne Rouge beaches, and it consists of blue-green water and white sandy beaches.
It’s a great place to swim or sunbathe but be prepared for a beach filled with mostly tourists because the locals don’t always visit it.
There is also no public transportation system, so you’ll have to drive there yourself or take a taxi. There are a lot of restaurants and hotels within five miles, so you won’t have far to go to enjoy a snack or meal or find accommodations.
10. Fort Frederick – a historic attraction in Grenada
Built in 1779, this fort is phenomenal to see, especially if you love history and beautiful scenery – and who doesn’t? It’s the best-preserved fort on the island and offers panoramic views that are second to none.
Located east of St. George’s on the way to St. Paul, the fort sits atop Richmond Hill and provides spectacular views in all directions, which is one of the biggest reasons people come to see it each and every year.
If you visit the fort in July and August, you’ll be able to see some spectacular trees and greenery as well.
11. Lake Antoine National Landmark – a striking lake formed in the crater of an extinct volcano
Lake Antoine is a crater lake that covers a huge 18-acre area. Its depth is only around 20 feet above sea level and, therefore, offers visitors the chance to get a spectacular view of it.
If you love to go bird-watching, this is the place to be because you’ll see everything from large-billed seed finches to snail kites and gray kingbirds to fulvous whistling ducks.
Close to the lake are attractions such as a herb and spice garden, protected seascape, boiling springs, and a nutmeg processing station, so you’ll have more to look at than just the lake itself.
12. Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park – a unique underwater tourist attraction
The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park has been open since 2006 and features concrete sculptures and statues that look like individuals who live in the area.
There is a sculpture showing a ring of children holding hands and the structures together use a total of 15 tons of concrete.
The statues are located at various depths, with the deepest one being roughly 39 feet (12 meters) under the water. These life-sized sculptures are home to underwater life such as parrotfish, flounders, fireworms, and banded coral shrimp, among others.
13. Grand Etang Lake – a striking Grenada beauty spot
This lake is located among the rainforests in Grenada and is the perfect way to start or stop your tour of the island. There is lush vegetation surrounding the area and you can occasionally see monkeys, especially when their owners are feeding them.

It is located just a few minutes from the Grand Etang National Park and offers stunning views and surroundings, making this tourist attraction one you won’t want to miss when visiting Grenada.
14. Sandy Island – the paradise island off Grenada’s north coast
Sandy Island is located in Carriacou and consists of beautiful sandy beaches and blue-green waters. It’s known for its snorkeling but you can also swim and relax on the beach if that’s what you want to do.
It’s the perfect place for a picnic on the beach or to simply watch the beautiful sunsets the area is known for.
This is a busy, social beach and, therefore, the best place to be if you want to have a lot of fun and meet new people. That being said, it also makes a great place to have a romantic outing with just the two of you.

If you love chocolate and you have an hour to spare while you’re in St. George’s, the House of Chocolate is certain to be a great experience.
It’s a mini-museum and café that treats you to the history of various chocolates.
Specializing in local organic chocolates, the museum is a great place to sample chocolates of all different types, something you’re bound to remember long after the tour is over. It’s said that they even have some of the chewiest and moistest brownies in the world!

The island of Grenada is widely known for its spices, hence the nickname Spice Island. If you are a fan of exploring other cultures’ cuisines, then this is the best activity to do in Grenada.
There are tons of ways for your to explore the flavors of the island by either touring on organic and eco-friendly farms or by simply visiting the local restaurants.
